Our Doulas
Two independent practices, one shared standard of care.
Laura Griffis
Calm, confident, and continually present — from pregnancy through early postpartum.
I am a mom to four children and live in Blaine, serving families all over the Twin Cities. I’m a Minnesota native but spent six years in Texas, where I met my husband; we’ve been married since 2004. I have a BS in Psychology with a Marriage and Family emphasis.
My own doula was influential in shifting my narrative around childbirth, and that experience — challenging and empowering in equal measure — started my journey toward serving families as a doula myself. I remain calm, encouraging, and intentional, and I make every effort to help you feel safe, heard, and continually cared for during labor.
“If you don’t know your options, you don’t have any.” — Penny Simkin, The Birth Partner
Lindsay Taylor
Support and information for childbearing families, before, during, and after birth.
I’ve been interested in birth — how it happens and what it means — since I was eleven, when my parents welcomed me to my sister’s birth. Years later I met a doula and knew that was my path, someday. I’ve been attending births as a doula since 2011 and trained through DONA (Doulas of North America) that same year.
I’m married with three children, born by hospital birth, surprise homebirth, and planned homebirth respectively — so I’ve sat on every side of the options I help my clients weigh. I’m an accredited La Leche League leader and offer ongoing breastfeeding education and support. I’m also a Christian and, at a client’s request, am glad to bring prayer, worship, or ritual into their birth.
“The birth year is ripe with beginnings.” — Lindsay Taylor
